Remember Tim Bishop as You Mail IRS Check

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Bishop's Tax and Spend Addiction is Breaking the Back of New York Taxpayers

Randy Altschuler, the conservative Republican candidate for Congress (NY-1), today called on taxpayers in the 1st Congressional District to "remember Tim Bishop when they mail their tax returns and checks to the IRS." Altschuler, a successful self-made businessman, last year signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge.

Randy Altschuler said, "As taxpayers throughout the 1st Congressional District head to the Post Office, I hope they will remember Tim Bishop as they mail their tax returns and checks to the IRS. Tim Bishop is addicted to taxes, spending, and growing the deficit. It's a fact, Tim Bishop has voted with Nancy Pelosi 97% of the time, including vote after vote that have raised your taxes. Like any career politician, Tim Bishop is happy to spend other people's money.

"New Yorkers are among the highest taxed people in the nation. We have seen people and businesses leave our state and Suffolk County because they simply can't afford the tax bill. It has to stop! We must return our fiscal house to order. Last year I signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge because I realize that high taxes and a growing deficit are breaking the back of the American taxpayer. 172 current members of the House have signed ATR's Pledge. Tim Bishop has not. That's why I'm running for Congress, because Tim Bishop's tax and spend addiction has to be stopped."
