The Honorable John Behan Endorses Randy Altschuler for Congress

Randy Altschuler, the Conservative Republican candidate for Congress (NY-1), today received the endorsement of former East Hampton Town Republican Chairman and NYS Assemblyman John Behan. Chairman Behan said "Randy is an accomplished professional who lives his conservative ideals everyday through his business and his family."

"I endorse Randy's candidacy for Congress because when I look at the field of candidates running to carry the Republican banner, it's clear that Randy is the best man for the job. Randy is an accomplished professional who lives his conservative ideals everyday through his business and his family," Chairman Behan said.

"Randy Altschuler is hardworking, intelligent and has displayed the dedication to learning about the issues which affect the 1st Congressional District. As a life-long Long Islander and veteran, I'm proud to stand with a candidate for office that cares so much about our community," Behan concluded.

Randy Altschuler said, "Few people know more about public service and sacrifice to our nation than John Behan. John has been a champion of causes for our veterans and the disabled in New York State for decades. I cannot begin to describe how honored I am to receive his endorsement and I look forward to working with John to ensure that the causes he has championed - both for our veterans and the disabled - receive the attention they deserve in Washington."

John Behan is the immediate former Chairman of the East Hampton Republican Committee, and a former New York State Assemblyman. Mr. Behan served with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps where he was decorated seven times and earned with distinction New York State's highest military honor, the Conspicuous Service Cross. Mr. Behan served in the New York State Assembly from 1978 to 1995 when he was appointed as Director of the New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs.

Mr. Behan resides in Montauk, New York with his wife, the former Marilyn Sullivan, and their three children; Jason, Jack and Bridget.
