Southampton Councilman James Malone Endorses Altschuler for Congress
May 11, 2010 9:02 AM
Councilman Malone has proven, time and again, that common sense solutions will bring efficiency to how government is run. Under the direction of Suffolk County Clerk Judy Pascale, Jim enhanced efficiency and management practices within our County Clerk's Office. Despite budget and staff cuts during an economic recession, Jim helped to oversee substantial cost savings, increased revenues, greater workforce production and more efficient constituent service for the taxpayers of Suffolk County; and that's precisely what needs to be done in Washington. We need that same spirit of innovation in our federal government and I plan to make sure that our hard-earned tax dollars are spent wisely. I am honored to receive Councilman Malone's support and counsel as we work towards victory this November.
Councilman Malone said, "Randy Altschuler is the type of common sense conservative businessman that we need in Washington. As a successful self made businessman, Randy understands that it is imperative that we take a conservative, free-market approach in solving the economic challenges our nation faces. The 1st Congressional District needs someone with Randy's qualifications in Washington to help reduce the size and cost of government, lower taxes and rein in overregulation, which together is breaking the back of taxpayers and small businesses in Suffolk County and around the nation. I am proud to call Randy a friend and consider it an honor to endorse his candidacy for Congress. I look forward to the day when I can call him my congressman."
Councilman James W. Malone was elected to serve on the Southampton Town Board in November of 2009. Prior to his election to the Board, James served as Senior Deputy County Clerk, overseeing Finance and Treasury Management. An attorney and lifelong resident of Southampton Town, Councilman Malone resides in Hampton Bays, NY.
